A researcher, Banzragch Sukhbat from Mongolia joined the Veterinary Epidemiology Unit at
Rakuno Gakuen University as a Guest Researcher.

Mr. Banzragch will be working with Prof. Kohei
Makita for a three-month research program from 18 th April to 18 th July 2026.


Mr. Banzragch serves as a Researcher at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine in Mongolia. He specializes
in veterinary microbiology, the growth physiology of young animals, and probiotic studies. His previous
research highlights include the Science and Technology Foundation project “Characteristics of propionic
acid bacteria and the rationale for their use in Vitamin B 12 biopreparations”, as well as the JICA
Collaborative Project on “Establishment a methodology for assessing the health of dairy farm cattle in
Mongolia”, among others.

Mr. Banzragch is working on a research article based on the results of his previous JICA collaborative
project, which investigates the associations between biochemical changes after delivery, body condition
scores (BCS), and the incidence of mastitis among dairy cattle in Mongolia. In this work, he is
collaborating closely with Prof. Kohei Makita to refine the statistical analysis and strengthen the scientific
rigor of the research.
