The article “Economic losses associated with mastitis due to bovine leukemia virus infection” was placed within 100 most cited papers since 2022 in the Journal of Dairy Science

On October 8, 2025, we received a wonderful news from the Journal of Dairy Science that below our paper was placed within 100 most cited papers since 2022. This paper estimated the economic loss associated with mastitis due to bovine leukemia virus (BLV) infection in Hokkaido, the largest dairy production area in Japan. BLV has been neglected in Japan for long time, and this paper quantified the magnitude of its economic impact through mastitis induced by the BLV infection.
